We are primarily looking for motivated and proactive activists. We do not want to focus all our attention on your current knowledge, education or experience.
Although the position you are applying for is quite specialised, we don't require you to have in-depth knowledge of campaigning, specific tools or people management. However, the truth is that knowledge of these topics will help you perform better in certain recruitment tasks.
We want to level the playing field by providing a list of issues whose knowledge can help you in our recruitment. Take a look at these materials to gain the knowledge you need and the context of our work.
Before proceeding to the materials, you should consider watching our three pre-recorded webinars about Open Cages, our recruitment process, and why we encourage you to apply even if you think you’re not good enough. We recommend you watch at least the first webinar before applying, and the other two if you find them useful or applicable.
We recommend that you read the headings and look at the subject areas that you are not familiar with. We place more importance on skills such as reasoning, intellectual humility and making judgments, so we think you should prioritise these if you are short on time.
Remember that we have prepared these materials with those who are new to the topics listed below in mind.
If you need further instructions or have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us - [email protected]
